Jindal: 'America Is Not the Federal Government' | The Weekly Standard
At the Republican National Committee’s winter meeting in Charlotte, North Carolina, Bobby Jindal, the Republican governor of Louisiana, weighed in on the national debate about the federal government's proper role.
"The first concept I want to talk about is simply this – America is not the federal government," said Jindal, toward the beginning of his speech. "Take a minute to let that thought sink in. America is not the federal government. In fact, America is not much about government at all. In America, government is one of those things you have to have, but you sure don’t want too much of it…kind of like your in-laws."
