Stupid stunts and hypocrisy are rampant among the gun-ban crowd, as that’s the only way they can play on your fears long enough to win passage of restrictions on the Second Amendment.
It’s hard going because of our country’s frontier history.
From the first setting of a European foot in the Americas, there have been natives who welcomed white settlers with open arms and those who violently opposed the arrival of the strangers. This was compounded by plenty of uppity Europeans who didn’t exactly exhibit good manners toward their new neighbors.
Add to that scenario all the non-human dangers and opportunities posed by an untamed wilderness and you’ve got yourself a recipe for trouble of the sort that only firearms can keep at bay.
